Session 5 Project

Internship Presentation

The presentation should be 10 minutes long, followed by 5 minutes of questions from the group. Your oral presentation MUST include a PowerPoint presentation – details below.  You should sign up to borrow one of the school’s digital cameras to take pictures at your internship. Be creative!

Your PowerPoint presentation should include . . .

·        at least 10 slides
·        pictures of your internship
·        your own writing (carefully edited)

Here are some guidelines and suggestions to help focus your presentation:

·        Give the name of the place where you have your internship and describe the type of work that they do.
·        Give the name of your supervisor and describe his/her responsibilities.
·        Tell us about a typical day at your internship.  Makes sure you mention your responsibilities.  What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done with them?  What’s the least interesting?  What sort of skills are you learning?  How do you think these skills might benefit you in the future?
·        If you were the boss, what would you do differently?  What would you do the same?  Would you take on an intern?  Why/why not?

If your presentation isn’t quite up to par, your advisor will require you to do it again, so do your best the first time!
